Objectives
The visual expression needed to honour both the cultural weight of Bocuse d’Or and the unique character of chef Davidsen’s culinary vision.
Solutions
The final menu folder was letterpress-printed for tactile depth and finished with copper foil using hot foil stamping, referencing traditional craftsmanship and culinary precision.
The restrained yet luxurious design underlined the team’s professional edge while offering an understated tribute to the chef’s Nordic roots. The visual identity also incorporated symbolic design features inspired by the competition dishes and their origin.
Graphic elements and visual identity inspired by ingredients and Nordic landscapes.
The visuals drew directly from the thematic core “Woods of Norway”, using symbolic graphic elements tied to the ingredients themselves. The triangle motif represented the dorsal fin of the fish, while the crossed lines referenced the antlers of wild game — creating a visual link between the natural origin of the dishes and the Nordic context of the team. These elements, combined with traditional printing techniques and copper foil accents, reinforced the tactile and narrative depth of the presentation materials.
